The first documented reference to Masia Notari dates back to 1452, although its origins appear to go even further, with the original structure believed to have been built around 1545.

For centuries, the Masia was owned by the Alegret family, who lived in and preserved it across generations. At the end of the 18th century, the last heir, Magdalena Alegret, led a major restoration that largely defines the Masia as it is today.

Magdalena was married to the notary Josep Anton Martí, a connection that gave rise to the name Masia Notari — a name that has endured over time and even extended to the surrounding area and part of the original estate, still known by this name today.

At the end of the 19th century, the renowned painter Jaume Ferrer i Mascaró acquired the Masia, transforming it into his residence and artistic studio, adding a new cultural layer to its long and rich history.

Masia Notari is a 15th-century estate, carefully restored to preserve its original essence while adapting it to today’s needs.

Each space reflects this balance between past and present: reclaimed materials, historic pieces and architecture that retains the authentic character of the place, combined with the comforts needed for a smooth stay. The former wine cellar, now one of the most distinctive spaces in the Masia, is a clear example of how its history remains alive and part of the experience.

Today’s management has further enhanced the Masia to meet the needs of corporate clients and large groups, both B2B and family stays, while maintaining its warm, home-like character.
