Review: Crest Link leather glove

October 28, 2014 – Crest Link, the leading golf apparel brand in Asia, which has been introduced to the European market this year 2014, has recently surprised us by presenting its first golf glove, and we’ve had the chance to test it.

Crest Link’s entrance in the golf glove category has not been timid. The Malaysia based company has wanted to make a leather glove at the ‘top of the range’, to place itself at the level of the best in quality, while standing out for its competitive value.

The glove, with the slogan ‘Premium for Professionals’, is made of cabretta leather with a design to meet the demands of professional players. It is made of soft leather, has patches of Cool-Tex Lycra between the fingers to make it more comfortable and manage the moisture output, and carries the Crest Link logo on the flap to reinforce the fit with velcro.

For the review we gave it to Carlos Vivas, professional of Golf Coaching Barcelona and CG Sant Cugat (Barcelona), who immediately felt comfortable with it. After a couple of weeks, this is what he said:

• The truth is that it works very well. It is comfortable and cool, and gives you the grip with the typical feeling of a good leather glove.
• Given that it is not a recognized name in golf gloves, it has a quality at the level of the best brands of gloves. And as it is made of good leather, it is turning out as durable for me as the others.

As it is new in this category, there’s a long way to go to become recognized as a golf glove brand. Just as a complement of its golf clothing line, it is clear that Crest Link has done a very good job.
