What was Ra\u00fal Martins’ main vision when designing the interior of this home at Paseo de la Habana 147? <\/h2>\n

At Paseo de la Habana, we find fantastic, modern architecture with a very human scale. All of this is reflected in the interior design, which is oriented towards the exterior, with a very contemporary approach that harmonizes with the architecture and features a simple and pleasant color palette that doesn’t interfere with the powerful outdoor space.<\/p>\n

Paseo de la Habana 147 is located in a key area of Madrid. What attracts you to the Chamart\u00edn neighborhood? <\/h2>\n

The Chamart\u00edn neighborhood is one of the best in Madrid. It’s close to the city center and connected to many green areas. It’s very quiet and, at the same time, close to everything.<\/p>\n

What do you enjoy most about your work? <\/h2>\n

What I enjoy most about my work is the creativity. The ability to create, for each project, a “custom-made suit” exclusively for each client. It\u2019s a luxury to be able to meet their needs and create a beautiful, sophisticated, and unique environment.\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/div>\n

What is the first thing you notice when entering a home for the first time? <\/h2>\n

Every project speaks for itself. When I encounter a new project, I pay close attention to the sensations conveyed by the natural light, the materials, the height, and the color temperature\u2026 These are all personal perceptions that need to be considered when designing. The floor plan is a basic tool in my work, but perceptions and sensations are essential; they are what make a project unique and special.

If you invite us to your home, what piece do you value the most and why? <\/h2>\n

In my home, there are three categories of pieces I value highly. On one hand, the ones I\u2019ve designed myself, which are the result of research, experience, and a lot of enthusiasm. On the other hand, art. I always seek and find people with whom I share my creative passion, and I try to have a piece from each of them in my home. Lastly, all the unique and special pieces, whether antique or from retail, which make my home irreplaceable and give it a special and exclusive character.<\/p>\n

One piece that everyone should have at home. <\/h2>\n

Without a doubt, a custom-made design piece for your home, one that only you have and that reflects your personality.<\/p>\n

A restaurant in Madrid that you would only recommend to your closest friends. <\/h2>\n

I love Charr\u00faa. The quality of the raw ingredients is exceptional, without pretension, all in a beautiful space… and it’s right next to my house.<\/p>\n

What book would you recommend? <\/h2>\n

“A Terrible Greenery” by Benjamin Labatut. A fascinating journey through the history of science and discoveries.<\/p>\n

A city you always return to. <\/h2>\n

Lisbon. I love it. I have Portuguese nationality, in addition to Spanish. My roots are there, and I enjoy it immensely every time I return.<\/p>\n

A city you’d like to discover.<\/h2>\n

Sydney. I\u2019ve been there several times and always feel like there\u2019s so much more to discover. It has a wonderful blend of the past and a vision of the future.<\/p>\n
