She then transitioned into maternity leave before giving birth to her son, Greyson, in 2024.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week, she and her younger sister Nelly are back together in competition at Shadow Creek for the first ever <strong>PIF Global Series<\/strong> event co-sanctioned by the LPGA and the Ladies European Tour (LET), and Jessica could not be happier.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cAfter three years out from the game, it&#8217;s awesome that I get to be out here,\u201d<\/em> a beaming Korda said in an interview this week.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Bjbda0EbR9U?si=1_VmdaVHsWEgAPSI\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cIt&#8217;s awesome that I am capable of playing 18 holes. I never thought that I would be back, honestly. I thought that that was it, and I was pretty prepared to walk away and my back&#8217;s not perfect.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cIt&#8217;s never going to be perfect. I mean, when I get out of bed, it takes me at least 20-30 minutes just to get it moving, especially adding golf into it. The less golf I play, the better I feel and the more I can do other things.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Korda did not swing a club much for the first two years away from the LPGA Tour, and she is not planning to return to the tour full-time. Consequently, she will be able to adjust to playing the occasional event while balancing motherhood at the same time. As for practice, she knows her focus will be on quality rather than quantity.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-176256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessKorda3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"758\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessKorda3.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessKorda3-253x300.jpg 253w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cBut it&#8217;s so nice to be back inside the ropes, seeing some familiar faces, because it was hard to watch golf actually, at the beginning as well,\u201d<\/em> said Korda, who is a six-times winner on the LPGA Tour.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cThis is the most golf I&#8217;ve played in a week. I usually play two or three days a week, so the golf clubs were feeling a little heavy here after a couple days. I feel like every day is just bit different, but I&#8217;m definitely balancing my schedule.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Jessica and Nelly Korda<\/strong> played their first official LPGA Tour event together since 2023 at last week&#8217;s Ford Championship in Chandler, Ariz., where Jessica missed the cut after shooting 72 and 74.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This week at Shadow Creek they are back in action again while young Greyson watches from outside the ropes under the watchful eye of his grandmother and babysitter, Regina Rajchrtova.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cPlaying tournament golf, you spend such a long time out at a golf course &#8211; at a minimum seven hours that I spend away from my son and that is not something I love,\u201d<\/em> said Korda. <em>\u201cBut definitely my number one priority is my son, and it doesn&#8217;t really matter what I do out here golf-wise, because I&#8217;m just concentrating on what we&#8217;re gonna do after, and Greyson does not care.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cIt&#8217;s also a good distraction away from the golf course, even though having my son leads to waking up for midnight feeds and him not sleeping, I was kind of mentally freaking out because I was like, &#8216;Oh my gosh, my whole day is going to be off the rails, because we prioritize recovery sleep.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-176258\" src=\"https:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessandNellyKorda.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"738\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessandNellyKorda.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2026\/04\/JessandNellyKorda-260x300.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Korda said she is very strict on maintaining her mother-son routines, while practising for and competing in the occasional golf tournament.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cPreviously, my whole life revolves around me,\u201d<\/em> she added. <em>\u201cYou have a team for you that&#8217;s working to make you the best, and then you suddenly add a newborn into the mix, and that clan just goes out the window. You&#8217;re just making sure that they&#8217;re fed, that they&#8217;re happy, and the thought of you goes out the window, and all of my energy is for him.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cSo it was nice to go back out and hit some golf balls, because I was like, &#8216;Oh, I&#8217;m still a human and this is still something that I really enjoy doing.&#8217; It just took me, like, a year, a year and a half, to really settle into normal life and be finding that balance in between the two.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However this week pans out golf-wise, <strong>Jessica Korda<\/strong> is fully embracing the motherhood chapter of her life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cI&#8217;m in a completely different era of my life,\u201d<\/em> she said. <em>\u201cI would call this a new chapter. The part one of my book was incredible. I loved every single moment, and I feel like I did it to my fullest ability. I put everything I had into it.
