June 4, 2025 \u2013\u00a0Fireballs GC\u00a0<\/strong>today announced that highly decorated Spanish amateur\u00a0Josele Ballester<\/strong>\u00a0<\/strong>will join the Fireballs GC roster on a multi-year contract. Ballester will make his professional debut this week at LIV Golf Virginia<\/strong> presented by Maaden, officially stepping into a lineup led by fellow Spaniard and team captain\u00a0Sergio Garcia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

“We are very excited about Josele joining the team,\u201d<\/em> said\u00a0Sergio Garcia<\/strong>, captain of Fireballs GC. \u201cPersonally, I have known him (Josele) since he could pick up a golf club and he has worked with my father (Victor) as his coach throughout his golf career. Josele is going to be a great addition not only to the Fireballs but also to the LIV League and I can\u2019t wait to be with him by his side as he makes his professional debut.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ballester, 21, is currently ranked No. 6 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking and brings an impressive amateur resume, highlighted by victories at the 2024 U.S. Amateur, 2023 European Amateur, and 2020 Spanish Amateur. Hailing from Castell\u00f3n, in the same Spanish province as Sergio Garcia, Ballester continues a proud regional legacy while representing the next wave of Spanish golf talent.<\/p>\n

Josele joins a strong contingent of Arizona State alumni in LIV Golf, including his new Fireballs teammate\u00a0David Puig<\/strong>, Legion XIII Captain\u00a0Jon Rahm<\/strong>, HyFlyers GC Captain\u00a0Phil Mickelson<\/strong>, Crushers GC\u2019s\u00a0Paul Casey<\/strong>, and Ripper GC\u2019s\u00a0Matt Jones<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ballester replaces Luis Masaveu<\/strong>, who will remain in the lineup in Virginia this week, stepping in as a reserve player for David Puig<\/strong>, who is currently sidelined with a back injury sustained during the final round of LIV Golf Korea. Despite the injury, Puig played through the pain to make the cut at last month\u2019s PGA Championship.<\/p>\n

With Ballester now stepping into a full-time role and Masaveu providing crucial depth amid injury concerns, Fireballs GC continues its push for the top spot in the 2025\u00a0LIV Golf<\/strong>\u00a0team standings.<\/p>\n
