{"id":147621,"date":"2024-02-20T15:15:08","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T13:15:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.mygolfway.com\/?p=147621"},"modified":"2024-02-20T15:15:08","modified_gmt":"2024-02-20T13:15:08","slug":"love-golf-coaches-unleash-potential-for-womens-golf-at-conference-in-spain","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/labs.100x100.net\/projects\/mygolfway\/en\/love-golf-coaches-unleash-potential-for-womens-golf-at-conference-in-spain\/","title":{"rendered":"Love.golf &#8211; Coaches unleash potential for women&#8217;s golf at conference in Spain"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ZFQWNMETV3I?si=AAYwFV1uBzdEIgQB\" width=\"640\" height=\"360\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>February 20, 2024 &#8211;<\/strong> Ideas and innovation were in full flow at this year\u2019s\u00a0<strong>love.golf<\/strong>\u00a0coaches&#8217; conference in Meli\u00e1 Villaitana, Spain.<\/p>\n<p>During the three-day event a dynamic group of golf coaches welcomed special guests, headlined by former international netballer <strong>Pamela Cookey<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>love.golf<\/strong>, the empowering on-course group coaching experience supported by <strong>Syngenta<\/strong>, has introduced thousands of women to the game since its inception in 2016, and empowers its coaches with latest insights, learning and development during the annual conference.<\/p>\n<p>The action-packed schedule included mind-mapping activities, talks from keynote speakers and small-group sessions to exchange and develop ideas.<\/p>\n<p>Head Coach <strong>Alastair Spink<\/strong>, who led the event, said: <em>\u201cThis event is all about loading up our coaches with need-to-know insights and providing a platform for them to collaborate and create together which, in our profession, we rarely get the opportunity to do.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Targeting opportunities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>While golf participation remains buoyant, Spink says a significant opportunity remains to appeal to a latent demand of women, including those from underrepresented backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWe can see from the rapid growth of golf entertainment destinations that the demand for a branded experience is out there, and we experienced this first-hand last year with the level of interest we received in our Barbie-themed event.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you create the right offer you can appeal to a wider, more diverse customer base,\u201d he added<strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Love-Golf-2024.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-147617\" src=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Love-Golf-2024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Love-Golf-2024.jpg 640w, https:\/\/hundreds-wordpress-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/mygolfway\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Love-Golf-2024-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Putting ideas into action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the conference, coaches were tasked with coming up with new ideas and experiences to appeal to this latent demand \u2013 with remarkable results.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cIn just a short session coaches came up with over a hundred ideas, which illustrates the level of creativity we can achieve when we work together,\u201d<\/em> said Spink.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cIt was amazing to see the collective power of a roomful of coaches throwing ideas around,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>George Carroll<\/strong>, a\u00a0<strong>love.golf\u00a0<\/strong>coach in Leeds who was attending the conference for the first time.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><em>\u201cThere was so much to learn, and I\u2019ve come back to my club very inspired, motivated and have already been making plans for the year ahead.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Alastair Spink<\/strong> concluded: <em>\u201cWe are fortunate to have established a community of forward-thinking coaches who understand that this is not just about coaching women, it\u2019s helping to shape a more equitable, sustainable future for this industry.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>February 20, 2024 &#8211; Ideas and innovation were in full flow at this year\u2019s\u00a0love.golf\u00a0coaches&#8217; conference in Meli\u00e1 Villaitana, Spain.
