Crest Link – High visibility of the golf apparel brand thanks to the Hong Kong and Australian Opens

November 28, 2017 – Last week was an important one for Crest Link. The leading golf apparel brand in Asia enjoyed high visibility in the Tour for very different reasons. First, due to the magnificent performance of its best player, the Hindu S.P.P. Chawrasia, at the UBS Hong Kong Open; and second, as official apparel partner of the Emirates Australian Open since 2015, with the participation of stars such as Jason Day or Jordan Spieth.

America, Asia, Europe and Oceania. Golf fans have been able to watch the growing involvement of the brand with golf from the four continents, as the Hong Kong Open was a shared event between the European Tour and the Asian Tour, while the traditional Australian Open is like the Major of Oceania, attracting the focus of interest from the US, thanks to the presence of important PGA TOUR star players.

Equipped with the technical Crest Link polos and tops in Micro-Dri fabric, S.P.P. Chawrasia started strong in Fanling’s Hong Kong GC, with two exceptional initial rounds of 65 and 66 strokes, showing himself as the best of the draw facing the wind. With a 69 in the third round he was still leading by one, but a triple bogey on the 9th hole of the fourth round took him away from the victory options to finish with 72 and seventh tied at the end, three strokes from the Australian champion, Wade Ormsby.

On the other hand, Crest Link has once again become a main actor as official apparel partner of the Emirates Australian Open 2017, held at The Australian Golf Club, which ended with the victory of another Australian, Cameron Davis, with 273 strokes.

The 102nd edition of this world class event repeated for the third time with Crest Link, and the result could not be more satisfactory. The staff members of the organization and the more than 400 volunteers were equipped with red polos, thus showing the brand throughout the golf course and in the specialized TV programs all around the world.

Not only they, but also the caddies in their official bibs throughout the week, have displayed the logo close to players such as Jason Day, Jordan Spieth or Jonas Blixt, as well as half a dozen Australian golfers from the brand’s staff. The public could also buy the latest polos, caps and accessories of the brand with the logo of the event in the official merchandising shop.

The apparel of the Malaysian company is perfect for the Australian golfers.   Its clothing offers efficient moisture absorption and evaporation and it feels smoother and lighter than the traditional cotton golf fabrics. It keeps golfers cool and dry at all times, while giving protection against UV rays and reducing fatigue thanks to Crest Link technical fabric innovations such Micro-Dri, Micro-Dri A-Vent, Micro-Dri UV or Comp-Tech. All of these have been designed with the priority of putting golfers and their performance first, beyond anything else.
