Golf Footwear – Changing spikes is no longer a wrench with the new Softspikes changing tools
March 3, 2025 – Softspikes, the world’s best-selling golf spike manufacturer and No.1 spike on tour has announced the launch of two new spike changing tools, Xtractor Wrench Kit and Tour Wrench. Designed specifically to help you remove and insert a new set of spikes in your golf shoes as quickly and efficiently as possible, both new models promise the end of stubborn spikes!
Both models are available to purchase online and select retailers around the UK & Europe from March 2025.
With Softspikes’ extensive research recommending you change your spikes every 12-15 rounds to get the most effective use out of them before they start to wear, owning your own wrench kit really is an essential accessory for all golfers.
The latest wrench technology from Softspikes to help with the removal of all spikes, the Xtractor Wrench Kit features an innovative design that gets between the spike and the sole of the shoe for easy removal. The additional 2-prong insertion wrench, which is included in the pack, makes for easy installation of game changing traction.
The Tour Wrench offers multiple bits to help you quickly remove and install replaceable traction elements and get back out on the course as quickly as possible. The wrench features the 6-prong insertion bit, standard 2-prong insertion bit and an additional Ripper bit for easy removal of worn-out spikes.
“Changing your spikes regularly is proven to deliver better traction and with-it better performance, so naturally it’s vital that we provide golfers with all the tools to make this process as simple and as quick as possible,” commented Joe Henderson, President – Softspikes.
“The Xtractor and Tour Wrench kits are essential products for golfers who take their game seriously and with more and more leading golf shoe brands switching back to spikes, plus the ability to colour match your spikes to your soles, now has never been a better time to invest in traction.”
