We’ve Closed the Auditions Process – Results Have Been Shared!
The YOCPA 2.0 String Auditions have officially come to a close, and all musicians have been contacted with their results.
We received a total of 180 applications for this edition!
From those, 56 outstanding musicians were invited to in-person auditions in Paris, Vienna, and Barcelona this past March. The audition repertoire featured works by Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, and more.
After careful deliberation, our Jury Panel has selected 33 exceptional string players — violinists, violists, cellists, and double bassists — to join the YOCPA 2.0 Musicians Panel 2025–2028.
These selected musicians, aged 23 to 39, come from 10 European countries (including Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Germany, Belgium, Poland, Estonia, Ukraine, and the Czech Republic), as well as Japan, Venezuela, and Canada, all currently based in Europe.
We extend our thanks to the institutions that hosted our auditions:
- Philharmonie de Paris
- Wiener Konzerthaus
- ESMUC – Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya
- Teatre del Liceu
This marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for YOCPA 2.0 — stay tuned!
