Prometheus21 was born in the particularly difficult context of the health crisis. It originated from a private initiative emanating initially from the strictly classical music world. Its final objective being the creation of a European status for artists, its field of action has since been extended to all artists and workers in the European cultural world.
Its vocation is to act as a relay towards the European institutions and the public authorities in general to advance the cause of musicians and artists in general.
The statutes of Prometheus21 were published in the Belgian official journal on 2 March 2021[1]. They state that one of its aims is ‘to be a common voice to defend together the artistic interests of its members in Europe as well as in each of their respective countries’.
Prometheus21 is not affiliated to any ideology, political trend or economic interest group. Prometheus21 is committed to a strict duty of neutrality and to respecting the rules of good conduct and good practices related to its activity.
