A Teatro Real production can include an average of 200 costumes, sometimes reaching up to 500. How is all this wardrobe created? How is it preserved? And how is its end-of-life managed?<\/p>\n

We discussed all these topics with Ovidio Ce\u00f1era, one of the most prominent voices in theatrical tailoring. He explained the process of maintaining the garments used in a theatrical production, emphasizing the importance of washing them properly before storing them to ensure their optimal preservation.<\/p>\n

He also shared some tricks to make clothes last longer and even revealed a secret tip from a Russian company on how to prevent clothes from smelling when there is no opportunity to clean them between uses.<\/p>\n

Beyond caring for the costumes, we talked about how an opera\u2019s entire wardrobe collection is created, how the sizing of artists is managed, and how costs are optimized without compromising quality.<\/p>\n
